This is one of the biggest questions people ask me. Who are you? Why do you look this way? Why do you have fake eyebrows? What do your tattoos mean?
I always tell them: “Because this is me. And I love the things I do to my body.” The same goes for makeup and how you want to change or accentuate parts of your face. With this blog, I hope to give some tips, tricks, and some product recommendations that I find to be the best and most important for different types of skin tones, skin types, and overall looks.
I’m going to take you all back to the beginning, when I first started doing makeup. This phone was taken four years ago. I had just gotten dumped, so I decided to play with painting my face. Because what better way to get over someone than by doing your makeup?
At this moment in time, I didn’t buy anything fancy. Drugstore makeup was my go-to. So as a foundation I used AquaSmooth Compact by CoverGirl in their lightest shade of Natural Ivory. For a drugstore product this foundation has great coverage and lasts a fairly long time. It’s about $10 USD, and honestly, it’s a great purchase.
Next are my eyes. Now, at this stage I didn’t use eyeshadow because I didn’t have any idea how to put it on. So I used a basic CoverGirl mascara that you can find at any drugstore, along with their mascara; All waterproof of course.
And finally my lips was a basic lipstain, which I have no idea what it is called anymore. But it looks crappy and now that I look back, I wonder what I was thinking.
And now a photo of me from this year. Yesterday in fact. As y0u can see, I have aged gracefully and now draw on my eyebrows. A change of piercings, and we have a whole new face in a matter of a few years.
For this look, I used MakeUp Forever HD Stick in color 115 = R230 – Ivory. This foundation stick is absolutely fantastic. In later posts I will go into more detail on different foundations, contour pallets, eyeshadows, mascaras, eyeliners, etc. But for now, I’m just giving a rundown on what I used on my face in this photo.
Now, for the eyebrows I used a Stila product. This product is a liquid brow pencil, which is explained the hyperlink. On my eyes I used the Urban Decay Vice 3 Pallet, which is now only available in Vice 4. The eyeliner is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, and my mascara is also Urban Decay in Perversion. I have a contour on my cheeks, but for this I’m keeping it basic, and will cover contour pallets in a later blog. And finally on my lips I have on Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny liquid to matte lipstick.
If anyone has any questions, please comment and I will be putting up my next post soon!
